We're glad you're a writer, Nina:

#LineEditsInPublic isn't a hastag, but it should be:

Silly stuff:

We usually collect amusing or inspiring tweets to share, which somehow seems irrelevant when something sad happens.  It's a good antidote to be sure.  But to keep the conversation going, what was your favorite picture book as a child?

My favorite picture book as a child was Stellaluna by Janell Cannon. I was in a reading group in kindergarten and that was one of our books we had to read. It's also one of the books that made me fall in love with reading.

#LineEditsInPublic sounds like an amusing hashtag to squeeze stories out of. It's a bit long though. But I don't have the fortune of someone asking me much about my writing in public. Either that, or the fact that I don't like to talk about it.

@Jennifer...my kiddunks love that one! Crazy how we remember our first books. Mine was "The Monster at the End of this Book" as told by Grover.

@Chihuahua...I like to talk about it. And then I regret it. I like your system better. :)

Amazing collection of tribute tweets, Sarah. Thanks for rounding them up. Just goes to show what an impact he had, on young and old and everything in between.

I think my favorite picture book was Velveteen Rabbit, although there were many (MANY) others that I loved too. Sylvester and the Magic Pebble... Corduroy... Goodnight Moon...

As for #LineEditsInPublic, heh, I am CONSTANTLY acting or testing out bits from my writing. It's so embarrassing that I had to quit my job to work from home. ;)
