Good advice:
Ain't that the truth:
Oh, the funny. How we love the funny:
Also, if you haven't checked it out already, Kate Hart (who inspired these twitter round-ups) has a handy knack for charts and all things awesome. She's been getting lots of buzz about her reporting on YA book covers (and a fantastic follow-up post). What do you think? Are book covers: there for collecting dust? convenient book marks? tossed aside because they slide around or are just plain embarassing? awesome? sell you on the book?
Should they be more representative of readers?

I agree with @loversdiction. Collarbones are interesting.
Faves this week:
- Michael Bourret/exclamation marks
- Katy Read/read the entire internet
- Carrie Harris/plotting
And even though I don't think there are any easy answers -- or maybe BECAUSE I don't think there are any easy answers -- I'm glad YA covers are getting some attention. I do think there's an issue, and we won't solve it if we refuse to see it.
Pretty much, I always still get lost on Twitter, so thanks for the breakdowns. Seriously.
@Chihuahua...right? they certainly deserve attention. :)
@Kristan...I guess I threw those questions on at the end when they probably deserve their own post. yep, keeping the conversation alive.
@Matthew...you're very welcome. the least we can do for the Quintessential Query guy. :)
Heheheee, love these. But especially Katy Read, about reading the entire internet. Sigh! ;o) Bad Net! Writers are so easily distracted....
