While 2013 takes a masterful bow, let's look forward to the books coming out in 2014 that look unmissable...
KRISTAN:

- RUIN AND RISING by Leigh Bardugo. The Grisha series is one of my favorites, and I've been recommending it to everyone. The second book went in a direction I didn't expect, so I'm curious to see how that plays out in this final installment -- not to mention any new curveballs Leigh might throw at us!
INGRID:

- (DON'T YOU) FORGET ABOUT ME by Kate Karyus Quinn. This intrigues me because I love books involving sisters and this novel seems like it will be eerie, suspenseful and emotional. I also adore the characters’ names, which is an added bonus.
SARAH:

- MARINA by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. Dude wrote THE SHADOW OF THE WIND, which I friggin’ loved. I'm all about escaping to Barcelona for his next mysterious flight of fancy.
STEPHANIE:

- MISTWALKER by Saundra Mitchell. This story sounds so haunting and creepy, and I love that it's set in a small town in Maine.
What books are you guys most looking forward to reading in 2014?

Dreams of Gods and Monsters can't come soon enough- I'm still holding out hope for a happy ending. Or at least a bittersweet ending.
We Were Liars sounds amazing, as does House of Ivy and Sorrow. (Seriously, that cover is gorgeous.)
2014 is going to be a great year for books!
I can't wait for all of these! I still need to read Laini Taylor's series though, so that's one series that I should start off with :) Good choices!
They all look so fabulous I can't wait for any of them! Love the cover for Dreams of Gods and Monsters especially though. <3
Great pics! I'm especially excited to read House of Ivy & Sorrow!!
Eeek, I'm excited about so many of these as well, especially the new E. Lockhart!
Thanks for all of your comments...love talking books in any capacity, but book anticipation is the best. Have a fabulous New Year. xx
I had no idea that either E. Lockhart or Sarah Ockler were coming out with new books! I'm so excited now that I've been informed. I loved The Disreputable History of Frankie Landau-Banks and Twenty Boy Summer . Thanks for helping me to amp up the excitement for YA in 2014!
I can't wait to read all of these. And I'm with everyone else on the House of Ivy and Sorrow cover-- so pretty.
I would like to check out a bunch of these but since contemporary has my heart, I'd put #Scandal at the top of the list!
Oh man, I can't wait for Ruin and Rising! I wasn't sure that I would like the books at first, but I ended up absolutely loving them.
